1st Irish Hottie

Day 3
Too early to mention a.m.
After a fantastic sleep I head out for breakfast. Oh baby it was good. There was an incredibly handsome German guy sitting with us at the table, mama mia.

11 a.m.
We are here at the Cliffs of Moher, and it is breath taking. The winds feel as if they are going to suck you off the cliff and pull you into the Atlantic. It is raining and windy, and I can just imagine myself slipping on a rock to my death. I got lots of pics despite the weather, and we decide to come back on a nicer day.

So close to lunch time we head out to Doolin to have some lunch at Gus O'Connors Pub. I take the trad route and have some warm Irish Stew that apparently had some Guinness in it, defiantly took the chill out of my bones. Also I would like to note that drinking early in the day in Ireland, is a no brain er, people hardly bat an eye. LOVE IT!

So now that I am slightly buzzed I am back on the bus heading to Roundstone. We stop for a photo op at O'Briens Castle, and at The Quiet Man Bridge.

At 4 we get to Roundstone. It's adorable. A picturesque fishing village. Prior to my trip I was given a list of movies to watch before my arrival, and among them was The Matchmaker which was incidental filmed in Roundstone. Yeah, it looked just like the movie. My first ordre of business...Hit the PUB! At half passed beer thirty (6:30 for you non drinkers) had my first in Roundstone and I was greeted by the most adorably handsome bartender EVER. His name was Richard, oh and he was smooth. We hung out there most of the night, well until my friends decided they wanted to go, which for me was was too early. So at 11 I said goodbye to my new favorite bartender and walked back to the B&B and it was still daylight, yeah that was weird.

It's a wonderful morning in Ireland

7 a.m.
I'm here, I'm here, I'm here! Flying in was incredable; I can see why they call it the Emerald Isle, all I could see was green and blue. I can predict this is going to an amazing trip, I can't wait get out and see it.

10 a.m.
So I get off the plane, I made it, and so did my luggage, what a relief. I meet a couple that are going to be in my class, and we head off to get our first taste of Ireland. We had a full Irish breakfast at Shannon Knight, was pretty tasty. Yeah, it's cold out.

4:10 p.m.
So all of us are in. All 15 students in my drawing class. Took forever, but we are on the way to our first stop, Bunratty, baby.

Well, yes it was touristy, but cool non the less. I had my fist dose of Irish tea, and it was oh so nice. I took so many pictures, hopefully useful in my future paintings.

6 p.m.
Now the party is about the start. We are here at Dirty Nelly's and I am having my first Irish beer, and no it's not a Guiness-I'm having a Smithwicks pronounced Smiddicks.

After the night of drinking and getting to know eachother we make it to our B&B Lohan's. I find out three of us are sharing a room, girls are Jenny and Steph. Both from the Austin area. I have the most comfy bed, and I am a goner.

Ireland 2006

11:40 a.m.
Wow, I am on the way. Currently I am at DFW Airport. I can't wait until I step foot on Irish soil. I had a few minor speed bumps in Corpus; bag weighed 80 freaking pounds.

2:35 p.m.
I am in the air, somewhere between Dallas and Boston, maybe over Kentucky somewhere.

7 p.m.
Okay, I am out of Boston and I am on my Aer Lingus flight to Ireland! The weather in Boston was miserable, and everyone had on the horrid Vera Bradley bags, I was on the brink of pucking if I saw another frizzy haired girl with one. So , I notice I am the darkest person on the plane. I think I stick out like the Latina I am. Shannon here I come, I am so ready, I just can't sleep, I arrive at 6 a.m., we shall see what mood I arrive in.
